The Southern Pacific coastline, between Los Angeles and San Diego, enjoys some of the most beautiful weather in the state year round. This region boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year, balmy days and cool evenings - perfect for beachcombing, tennis, golf and other outdoor activities. The rainy season runs November through early April, with dry conditions and low humidity the rest of the year. It's not unusual to go all summer with no precipitation at all. Low clouds and fog are usually present right along the coastline on warmer summer days, but clears up by early afternoon. The summer heat is moderated by cool ocean breezes, but keep in mind that as you travel inland away from the cooling effect of the ocean, the temperatures rise (although not to uncomfortable levels.) Thunderstorms in this area are infrequent and light.
